From a young age it was in my blood to ride bikes. On my 7th Birthday, I was lucky enough to receive my first ever quad, a Suzuki LT50 which I shared with my twin brother Peter.
As a family we travelled alI over the UK to agricultural shows, as my sister Katie competed on her horses. At the majority of these shows we were able to watch the Kangaroo Kid Perform his Stunt shows in the main arena. I was amazed and inspired from day one and was hooked on quads, and have been ever since.
When I turned 15, I started working at Keypitts quad centre in Ilfracombe and trained to be a quad instructor. I gained 7 years experience teaching people of all ages, ability, and disability giving them a chance to give quads a go and enjoy the experience to the max! These were amazing years blasting around everyday over 250 acres, meeting thousands of people every year, thus a very satisfying Job.
By my 21st birthday I had bought my first sports quad; a brand new Honda 400ex. Three months later I decided to enter my first ever race, the infamous Weston Beach race, where I finished the 3 hour enduro in 44th position out of 500 quad riders!
From that weekend I started racing in the south west enduro championships and continued for 10 years working my way up the ranks and winning many races in various classes, until I was recommended by ORE-events club organisers to race in the expert classes. I became Southwest Champion and was 3rd in the British Enduro Championships in 2011.
I have raced at Weston beach race 11 times since 2006 finishing 4th overall 4 times, but I’m still hunting down that podium finish.
Over the years I have been lucky enough to have support from ARK ATV’s Honda and sponsorship from Keitch ATV’s whilst racing Suzuki.
In 2014 the Kangaroo Kid asked if I would like to become his team mate and perform along side him during the 2015 show season.
After an amazing 2015 season traveling all over the UK, performing 35 days of stunt shows it was a steep learning curve for me trying to master the technique of flat landing while Jumping over cars, vans and tractors. By the end of the year Matt had me Jumping Monster trucks, something I never thought would be possible in my first year.
I continued to perform along side Matt until September 2018, when he was given the opportunity to work in China at studio city Macau.
I’m excited to launch my way into 2019, with my own Stunt displays touring all over the UK, with guest riders and live commentary from one of the best UK commentators Sally Fox.
I am hoping to set my own Guinness world records and have exciting new ideas and plans I will release in the not to distant future.
